Yep! Another 2hours till my birthday is officially over. SO, question is, what did I do today? I worked! Apparently the requested leave got messed up so I was planned to work for the whole day.. What a day to start as it was raining heavily (such good weather to sleep in!), still sick (with cough and a nose that runs like a loose tap) and to work the whole day... I was lucky that I'd managed to change my shift to end early (YAY!) and my mentor was sweet enough to buy a birthday cake for me. A mini celebration with a few colleagues and some birthday messages from friends, unexpected wishes from friends whom I'd not keep in touch with for some time. So, it's not really bad after all. :D

Didn't do anything special this year as I'm still sick with no mood to do any celebration.

On another note, sometimes I do wish that time will stop, that we'll stop ageing... For the past few days while I was resting at home, I happened to observe.. my mom. Lol. She just can't stop moving around and is always doing something. One moment she was sitting down, cutting fabrics, the other moment she'll be at the sewing machine, later she'll be in the kitchen, then the toilet, the window, back to cutting, cooking, etc. No stopping. Little wonder that she'll be tired by the end of the day.. When sometimes she'll retire for the night, as early as 10pm. She's constantly moving. And I admire her for that. For not being lazy. But, as she walk or sit or even bend down to pick up something, it is not hard to notice that age has caught up with her. I began to calculate her age mentally and suddenly, I just wish that time will stop. I'd like to be beside her always. I know that I'm getting comfortable with life around my mom, but it feels better to know what is happening to her. I'd rather not have any regrets, and to continue observing my mom and her daily life. :)

She, who can't stop moving. My mom, who send SHORT-message texts, who Laugh-Out-Loud suddenly, who watch Family Guy, The Simpsons, Sex and The City with me.

Am in the clinic now... Yes.. My cough and sore throat are still bugging me. Cough, I'd say, had kept me up till late... So late that I'd only 2 to 3 hours of sleep till I wake up for work.

Anyway, back to me being in the clinic. Now. Most clinics had changed their "calling" system to electronic numbers. Think: electronic queue systems you'll find especially in telco stores.

I quite missed the old days where the nurse will call out your name and then you'll proceed in to see the doctor, of course not before knocking the door first. To me, its a form of courtesy to say "I'm coming in". It'll be rather rude to just walk in eventhough the doctor had "called" your number.
