How I missed Japan so much!

I was watching a Japanese drama right now. Jus watching it and listening to the song made me think about Japan and I missed the country so much!!

I missed the place, the pretty girls and good looking guys there, the food (esp my curry udon, ramen and onigiri - rice balls), the air, etc. Sigh... How I wish I am in Japan right now. Missed walking the streets with the cool air.

Life is so fragile...

Received an sms from a close friend whom I'd always called her "Mummy J" because she protects us, not giving the customers face if they are in the wrong while trying hard not to compromise her role as a manager. I respected her a alot and somehow this paragraph sounds wrong. Anyway Mummy J texted me that her grandma had just passed away and I feel for her. Death is not something one would wish to fall upon oneself or on a close friend/relative. It's always depressing.

Her grandma was 98years old when she passed away. That reminded me of my grandpa who's 100 this year. Part of me hope that he'll be as healthy as he can be and continue enjoying life. Part of me wish that if he's to pass away, it'll be best if he pass away peacefully. Seeing him becoming so fragile and frail made my heart ache. Gah, such dilemma.

Anyway, on a lighter tone, I'm addicted to this song!

07 May 2011 is a Public Holiday for Singaporeans

As the day draws nearer to the 7th, the activities outside seemed to be more happening.

I was returning home from work, to experience a massive jam with the traffic police and other members from the security directing human and car traffic. Usually when one sees police cars and the driver would meant one thing - accident. This time, there were a lot of people gathering around and no smash up cars.

People shouting and cheering. It was a very different feel, something which I'd seen for the first time. The members who's fate is going to be decided by the members of the public were sprouting words of the future, words of changes and words of hope. Trying to gain as many supporters as possible, and this time with a mixture of young and old blood. Even as I was typing this post, I could hear the people cheering out, chanting "Worker's Party". Each cheer simply gets louder and louder. What about the opposing team? Are they confident enough to take them down? WP sounds confident and their youngest member just made her speech, impressing everyone enough to send the message that age is not an issue, she speaks for them. Whereas the other just went down south. How are they going to perform? What are they going to do? What strategy pans have they come up with to counter that?

I was distracted for a moment as the people downstairs were still chanting away. The cars that they were driving were not luxury cars. Could that mean something? The people who were cheering so loudly, will they vote for the team they were cheering so hard for?

I am not into politics and know nothing about that. I am totally clueless about my environment, so when my customer asked - who will you vote for? My mind went blank. If this was part of a video game, I could still be prepared to answer.

Question is - will there be changes in the future should the current team lose their hold? What is going to happen in the future?

The election this year seems more aggressive, different and maybe it's my first time seeing such rally (apart from what I saw in Japan) here. Nice to see something different. No quiet competition.

Hmm... which team should I vote for?

Oh, that day happens to be the day I'm celebrating Mother's Day with my family. :D

Time to WoW! :)
