I'd managed to finish reading 'Halo Encyclopedia' and I'm currently reading 'Halo: Fall of Reach' and my conclusion of Halo is that it is a very sad story. Not those romance sad story but sad story about humanity and the Spartans. The Spartans were supposedly enhanced super super soldier and yet, why did they die so easily like flies?

While they were in their MJOLNIR Mark VI Armor (frankly speaking, from the way they describe the armor John-117 was wearing, it should be that latest armor when they first had contact with the covenant), they were almost invincible. How was it that the covenants were so far advanced than the humans? So, the forerunner race was the most advanced followed by the covenant and then the humans? That's sad right? Even when the forerunner was so advance and yet, they did not have any contingency plan. How did the covenant get so advanced? Why so little spartans then? What about ODST? They were also one of the elites no?

From seventy plus spartans to half and then to just one Master Chief. Before reading the novel, I was always wondering why was John called the Master Chief and the rest are just spartans. So, it all boils down to just Master Chief, Cortana and the arbiter. Sigh. I still remembered the words Master Chief said to Cortana, after they (together with the arbiter) left in a ship, which was later shot and broke into half, Master Chief's whereabouts was unknown. And it was said that Master Chief was thought to be in some unknown place, where he was placed in a cryo-sleep by Cortana, telling her to wake him up when he's needed. So, was there a possiblity that he'll appear again to save humankind? Is he dead or just somewhere out there resting?

Spartans cannot die, they are either MIA, WIA but never KIA. So, what happened to John? Will Halo 4 even happen? Now I'm so waiting impatiently for Halo: Fall of Reach! Argh!

Halo Encyclopedia - Nearly can't find it!

Anyway, my pig was too fat already and was unable to take in anymore "food". So, I gotta start making him "puke". Mom was marvelling at how much I'd managed to feed him and made a guess that pig should weigh at least "660 bucks".

Me: ok, if you guessed close to the weigh, I'll give you $100.
Mom: OK! *quickly sat down and helped me count*

Pig before (he was damn heavy and I gotta rest at least 2 times ok!!)

Pig after.. So, he weighs 900 bucks. Actually he was 897 and mom contributed 3 bucks to make it 900.

Mom: Wasted, another 100 and it'll be a thousand!

Now pig felt so light! Time to feed him again!

Super excited because mom and I went to Chinatown today to buy some cloth for making curtains, sofa covers and my big pillows' clothes. Spent like $150 on cloths (cheap ok!), buttons and threads. Omg! Actually majority was spent on the cloths. Scary but at least my faithful curtain (in my room) can go for a wash! And my big pillows have extra set of clothes to wear!! xD

Thank you Matty for coming over to play with me today!

Baird in Gears of War II said something really funny, after slicing through the worm's stomach. He said "I'm coughing out blood that is not mine!". LOL!!

And I'm still sad that Calmine had to die, especially in that way. =(
It reminded me of Aerith's death in Final Fantasy VII. >.<

I can't wait for Gears of War III!!!!!! Hate Berserker and it had MORE arms this time round!! Sheesh!!

BUT, I'm even more so excited with Xbox 360's HALO bundle! *going colourful like Me & My Katamari*

I realised that I'm a half bucket water. That's the direct translation of "ban tong shui". Which means I never get things done completely, but I'd prefer the term "Jack of all Trades". Lol.

I'd tried piano and stopped when I was taking my PSLE.

Then I tried Tae Kwan Do from white belt and took my first test, which I'd managed to skip 2 levels and got to get this Green sticker at the tip of the belt. So I had to practice 2 levels of order. I couldn't cope with it then and it was getting kind of boring for me, hence I dropped out before getting my green belt. Reason I used to quit - N or O levels. I can't remember.

Next my games, I'd usually played games (especially RPGs) until I'd reached like 80% of the game before I shift my attention to the next games. Even so when new games launch around the same time. :/

Finally, my Japanese. Took it until intermediate (i think), went for JLPT4, flunk it and stopped once I got a new job. Stopped it for 4 years and I'm now trying to self study my JP with the help of Master Lil. m(_._)m

How's my run today? I must say, the route was more of a U-turn route as compared to JP Morgan run or StandChart run. Definitely not going to run for it again. But I'd fun with my 2 running companions. :D
Does earning more money than you used to, much more that it changes your lifestyle, changes people? Changes people in a way that they are like a stranger to you. That you can no longer chat about other topics except for work related even when you do not feel like discussing?

Tomorrow is my 10km run, did not get to train for it. To my dear body, please be prepared to ache like hell tomorrow.

I'd decided to post in blog at least once a week. It doesn't matter whether does it concern my daily issues or it can be some news or articles. I'm just trying to keep a commitment to my blog, so that it'll not stay old and mouldy and quiet, to keep stupid lizards, cockraches and dusts away. Actually, I got this idea when I was packing up my newly bought books into my shelf - it was left on the floor for months.. think: I bought the books before I left for Japan, so you can imagine how long has it been lying on the floor. And I was reminded of Sex and the City. Haha. Although Carrie has a column and mine is a blog which is more for my own amusement, but it still feels the same. To me.

Books packed, room looks spacious now. Next, I had a sudden urge to bring out my Japanese textbooks to practice. It had been four years since I'd last studied my Japanese, judging from the dates I'd wrote on the exercise sheets. Some of them even looked alien to me! Okay, not alien but I just can't remember what were they used for. There were different groups, and to change their form based on their groups, when to use them and when not to. I guess I'll just practice my oral and try to translate the sentences for now.

I was feeling kind of down yesterday because Darker than Black had reached it's last episode. Which means I'll be seeing Hei no more. I like the fact that he can look so innocent when he wasn't on a mission, and yet so cold when he was on one. His emotionless experssion, the way he swings with his wire, how he kills the enemies with surprise and his bullet-proof trenchcoat!

See how cool he looked with his trenchcoat and his blur look with his everyday clothes.

With his mask on.

He reminded me of Sebastian from Kuroshitsuji. Who wouldn't want to have a multi-talent butler like him? Especially when he said "Yes, master". *Faints*

Found this really cool console that made me held my breathe and eyes went WIDE!

Boy am I glad that I did not rush down to buy Xbox 360 slim. I'm definitely going to wait for this set to be out in September and get it! I'm sorry, old xbox console but the new one is way cooler than you now. What's cooler? When I get my hands on Master Chief's helmet. He's so cool! Thanks to Clifton who got me the series for Halo 3, ODST and Halo Wars. I know I'm a late bloomer but.. but.... So, I'm playing Halo 3 now and the more I play Halo, the more I'm in awe of Master Chief.

Haha, this post seemed to be all about cool guys. Yums!!

Can't wait for my gaming room to be up so that I can source for Halo poster and place him everywhere in my room, all nicely framed up. heh.

Anyway, sticking to my resolution to publish a post on one of my off day a week as well as trying to take bus/train to and fro from work instead of cab!

Tokyo Game Show 2010, I'll have to skip this year's and plan for TGS 2011. =(

Just dropping a note to say that this blog is not dead yet! Just that the owner is too busy to sit her ass down, edit photos and upload them with captions. This month is quite happening, too many events and my offdays are filled with plans and things to do.

For weeks, I'd been contemplating whether should I just quit my job and find a new one or should I stay with my current job while searching for a new one. Of course the latter sounds silly and is 100% not advisable, especially with the current market, it is not easy to find a job now.

I actually knew what I want to do when I was sick for two weeks during June. However even giant gaming companies in Singapore are still on the retrenchment roll, and Singapore's gaming scene is pretty small. It is starting to made me wonder whether is it a good idea to work in a gaming company afterall?

Well, photos? Too many in folders and are starting to get outdated plus I'd forgotten where I'd left off. Shall take the time to edit and post them up. First off, let me continue editing my resume. It's been far too long since I'd last touched it. My brain cells is been squeeze and I'd been trying to find inspiration to prepare my resume. Of course, you may wonder, what's the big deal about preparing a resume. A resume is a resume right? I just want to make sure my resume is up to date and all.

So, is anyone hiring?
